Sims 2 Network

Does anybody know if Sims 2 can be networked; i.e. two or more users controlling sims in 1 neighborhood, and able to interact with each other realtime. I know the game is not capable of this as standard, but they might have released an addon which I don't know about.

Nope....does not seem like it

but since Sims is the best selling PC game of all time....and hitting the console market to....I think EA/Maxis would really cash in some buck if the new Sims would be something like....THE SIMS - ONLINE......

Think about it all the next gen console is online...so all the people in the sims world are actually human players....damn they would really cash in....fully interactive world and so..

I don't like sims but it would seriously be a good move for them

would be nice if they walked before they ran... a simple network game would probably have appealed to a great many, while especially in SA, internet gaming is a bit overzealous.
