Anyone else waiting unusually long for emails to come through? From any server it seems unbelievably slow...

I am finding that from a variety of servers today, not just Sentech. Office, home, friends - something seems to be chewing our bandwidth somewhere.

Menlo Park Tower / 128k / NoWire.co.za

they a bunch of idiots when it comes to mail server setup try not use them :)

256k ... BAH..more like 25.6k
FSCK YOU Sentech!! [:(!]

I find if you hit Send/Recieve or Get Mail...
GO make a cup of coffee... have a ciggie...

Usually all your email is down by then...

Another cool thing is to send them sh!tty humour videos you get in email to support.
When they ask why just exmplain to em how sorry you are and how it was a mistake.

myWireless 128, 64, 48, 16 - depends on its mood.

Here is one for you,

It seems I am going to have to BUY I.S. mailboxes as a solution to my inability to check my mail on my domain hosted in the US. This problem started to get bad about 3 weeks ago, it has gotten to the point that we cannot check mail AT all. Also tied into this is that we cannot upload files FTP and a recent problem (tonights latest) is that our site disapears from time to time.

All good and well but dont we own a "BROADBAND" modem capable of lightning fast speed and all that.

Gotta love it.

0861 NoWire – Charged at National Rates for your convenience open from 8am to 5pm keep your problem only during office hours ONLY.

I think they are killing the mail protocol. I always get a hard cap to about 7KB/s while up/downloading mail to our work's server (But throughput is much less, since there are gaps of no activity in between 7K bursts) - This happens at the same time that I can FTP at 13KB/s throughput from a local site. Our work has a direct line to IS. - My colleague can mail at 40+KB/s with his ADSL, so its not a IS/Work problem... Its a ST problem.
