Slow GMail pop

Lately gmail's pop3 has been very slow for me, with timeouts and general slow behaviour. Access through the web interface is ok and works fast though.

Anyone have similar problems?

I tried disabling all the firewalls and things in between my computer and connection, but it doesn't look as if that is the problem.

After a month of use it reported that it'd save me 2 seconds, so I tossed it.

didn't notice any difference in performance when using it

Can not retreive mail either, but I assumed it was on IBurst side where the problem lies. Maybe not.
