smtp.wbs.co.za is down

Confirmation from WBS their smtp server is down. I use the Wonderboom tower, must use smtp.uunet.co.za instead

i have an idea, why not get your own mail server, that way YOU, like me, can have uninterupted service for 6 years

There has always been smtp.wbs.co.za, however there aint no pop/pop3/*.wbs.co.za...

BTW is it back up again? (I'm too lazy to change the default smtp server in ThunderTweety & throw an email at the thing...)

an iBurst reseller, tradepage has set up a domain and is handing out email addresses to subscribers, the domain is wirelessza.co.za

The Reseller probably runs the mail server themselves or something?

yeah i assume so, I think its just somethign they set up because they/thier customers were fed up with thier promised POP3 mailbox never showing up. Still, its a usefull bit of info if you happened to have gone through tradepage.
