I've just d/l'd iTunes because I dig thier radio selection.

Unfortunately, I'm finding it basically impossible to use with a 56k stream.

It rebuffers itself every minute - very very irritating.

I guess a 56k stream is too high for MyWireless 128k ?
Perhaps it's related to latency, altho that does make sense as by it's very nature, streaming media shouldn't be effected by minor latency problems.

A 24k stream works fine - been running for 5 minutes now without rebuffering. I can also surf while using it.

Ok, I had a 24k stream running and a d/l going at 7k per second no problem.

It's possible that the 56k stream I was having problems with couldn've been server overload on thier side - I'll do some more experimentation.

BTW, highly recommend iTunes for the Radio stations - nice when your working to listen to differenct stuff. Groove salad is very cool and laid back, perfect for working to. Just make sure you don't let it hijack your media types when you install it !

If you use winamp 5 it coes with the media library which includes many radio stations and TV stations built in. Or go to www.shoutcast.com

I reckon you wont get smooth playback over 64k (even thats a big ask) due to the packet loss. The loss also delays everything due to the rebuffering etc so I would stick to 56k or less. At 24k it works fine though.

Yeah - currently without surfing, I can get 56k stream smooth with no buffering. Will check out Shoutcast.

Actually, I listen to the 96k stations at www.di.fm (and a lot of the ones on Winamp's Library) without a hassle.

OH MY WORD!!!

this is AWESOME!

i didn't know that winamp had these stations!!!

i'm listening up to 128k stations without hassles, while still surfing the net!!!

this is FANTASTIC!!!

something was done right on Tower 82 - it's ROCKING! well done guys!!!

just a thought... use it... don't use it...

Have they got cool ambient stuff ?

Groove salad on iTunes is just freakin' awesome chill ambient - nice bass type stuff.

Must check it out...

After over 12 hours of testing streaming media via sentech bandwidth, it works damn well and it's damn cool :)

It's the perfect wireless solution for streaming services I'll bet - it cruises big time !

128k users can get a steady (at least 30 minutes without buffering) 56k stream - about stereo radio quality.

Sorted ! [:D][8D]

YAY i cant wait to get my 256k connection!:P

Fantasy is what people want, reality is what they need.
