Telkom line just died ...

taking with it my ADSL connection

Tried to call my land line, rapid beep beep sounds.
Tried calling 10215, same, rapid beep deep

The line is basically dead.

Sending this through MTN-gprs which is also slow.

I am in the Sunninghill area

Anyone else experiencing this ? Went out at about 16h50 ?

Yup same here, we have 5 DSL lines on the 807, 803 & 234 exchanges and all of em dead as well as our 38 analogue lines into our switchboard.....

ok , that is a relief, i live i a complex that has many kids and some live telkom wires are exposed. I thought perhaps one of them became curious.

My phone line just came back (on 234 ) but router not syncing yet.

yup same here, phone lines up, but DSL still down. I wander wot actually happened ?
