Just dropped in at Telkom Walker Drive to buy an ADSL phone filter, signs all over stating they can't take payments due to the shop closing which means they can't sell me one although there's about twenty hanging on the accessories board.

Seems PE's Western Suburbs, Lorraine etc now have a choice of going to either Greenacres or Walmer Park - great service I think not

Can't understand why Telkom are closing shop, the staff there have always been polite, informed and helpful as far as they were permitted to assist which is more than can be said of 10210

... as usual the staff made a plan I walked out with a filter :) - they will be sorely missed.

Must say it is a big pity that store is closing, I had some terrible experiences at other stores, and The Bridge store is an example of what happens when the most useless, clueless, unhelpful, unfriendly people are employed at the same place.

I had a problem with three of my business accounts and after two hours on the phone with Telkom I was told to go to a Telkom store which I did, but I made the mistake of going to the one in The Bridge. After leaving that store before I lost my mind I went to the Walker Drive one and the staff there were not only friendly, but they also knew what they were talking about and solved my problem with a smile. Since then I went there several times and the staff were always friendly and helpful.

Typical of Telkom closing the only store, in my opinion, where they employ staff that can actually do their job.

Yes I agree wholeheartedly they will be missed.
