- 66% of the previous cap.
- Cuts off when capped rather than leaving local uncapped.
- No concurrent sessions.

All of this for a one time only special offer of R200 pm a whole R50 (20%) cheaper than the 3GB package (which has local unlimited after cap, ...)

Wow what a bargain!!!

Noooooo! must not give in...Telkom evil *prys hand from telephone*
Way go to Telkom you sure know how to reel in more suckers.

Google is so smart,I typed in Hellkom and guess what google said

Don`t you mean.....<insert evil laugh>
TELKOM!

Damn Telkom's "product research" is really sucks. I mean seriously what a joke, how stupid can you be.

If they were really smart they would bring out a 256k down/128k up line at a rental of R200 pm.

Telkom needs a leash, ICASA needs some guts, and the SA consumer needs to make it happen

And it's not even 1st April.

Damn Telkom is stupid, they must live in their own world, do they really think anyone is going to buy that package?

Their product research????? their understanding of the market?
Do they think that they are the only communication provider in the universe capable of supplying internet access??? I mean really, who is the idiot that thinks up these packages and then has the balls to say that it's what the marker wants?
buddy, whoever you are, if you want to do some market research and release products that the public actually want/need then read the posts on this forum, oh, no, wait, the 2300 members on this forum obviously dont have a clue as we are apparently the "minority".
stop wasting our time with slower and only slightly cheaper services, catch a wake up!!!
If a company valued its clients it would make products available that it's clients needed, not tell them what they needed and then offer a poor service at best.
nuff said.

"There is nothing more frightful than ignorance in action."

What really gets my back up is how Telkom trumpets a product that is vastly inferior, out of touch with modern broadband needs, and only R50 cheaper than existing products. I mean they announce it as "internet penetration set to grow".

If they weren't so busy clapping themselves on the back, maybe they would realise the sheer folly of such a "product".

I guess at least we have an idea of how far up their ass their heads really are...

the idiots who thought up this package has reality problems. Yip, they completely live in a world of their own, and they're supposed to be keeping everybody in touch.

Telkom has doen their homework most probably well.

The product they are offering almost undercuts MyWi's entry level.

iBurst has already indicated that they will most probably be slightly more expensive than MyWi.

All Telkom did was to roll out an "entry level" product competing with iBurst (and possibly Vodacom 3G)

South Africa needs World Class Broadband at World Competitive Prices.

Every thing i have read has suggested the opposite that iBurst will be cheaper and there service 1meg line (depending on signal strength).

There is no peace without war!!!

Anyone who thinks they are going to get cheap 1 mbs international from iburst needs their head read. Until Telkoms stranglehold on the SAT3 cable is broken isp's cant even begin to offer cheap broadband.

If the public actually goes for products like this, then we deserve telkom.
The scary thing is, when i talk to our subscribers about broadband, i'm amazed by the general lack of knowledge about it. They generally have no idea, they don't know things like no per minute charges, that it allows you to make calls whilst browsing, faster browsing etc.
And these are usually Principals i'm talking about. They would'nt know a good or bad broadband package if it smacked them in the face. At least 50% of companies i deal with seem quite happy to run a 8 terminal office off 1 56k dialup with the clock ticking whenever someone goes online.
eish!

Telkom - South Africa's Handbrake to progress.
