Terrible Software update support from Huawei ZA

Good to see some formal response (even if it looks like a bot) but is doesn't change the fact there is nowhere near the level of update support offered that is expected. If I buy a premium priced device I expect to get timious security updates with it. My Mate 9 is currently on security patch date 5 April and that is with using Firmware Finder. Simply not good enough, whomever is holding up the process.
This will certainly factor in my next purchase.

I got a Mate 9 round about November. It immediately updated OTA to the Aug 2017 Security Patch (If I remember rightly) and then in Decmber did an update to the November 2017 Security Patch. Maybe the problem is your network? I got my phone from Telkom but have a Telkom and Vodacom SIM in it.

Thanks for the feedback, I know they keep blaming each other which is why I used the last line I did. I'm on Afrihost/MTN and bought the phone from MTN.

I have actually recived an OTA update a couple of days ago to Dec security patch.

First one ever.

Got two Updates recently 1st one was 22nd Dec and other one in Jan
Huawei P9 Plus or VIE-L29

What I don't get is why manufacturers don't release update notifications. Have a list of firmware releases on their website, and show the status - e.g. In Dev, Testing, Released to Networks etc.

My security patch is 01 January 2018 on Huawei Mate 10 Pro

This morning I got a VoLTE feature update
