The Alpine Cars Thread

This is your first proper look at the all-electric Alpine A110

Alpine sends its A110 Future prototype up the hill at Goodwood with Pierre Gasly at the wheel

Alpine has gone big for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, and alongside some old F1 cars and its 1978 24 Hours of Le Mans winning A442B, it’s also showing off its future.

Quite literally in fact, because what you see above is known as the Alpine A110 Future. Essentially, it’s a development mule for the next generation A110, and it’s silently sweeping up the hill to give us our very first dynamic look.

Alpine F1 driver Pierre Gasly actually piloted it on day one of the festival with the Duke of Richmond riding shotgun. Unfortunately, Pierre was asked to be rather careful with this important prototype, so we didn’t quite get to see it flat out. Booo.

Still, looks like it’ll be low and wide looking, and of course we already knew that it was getting two electric motors on its rear axle and two separate 800-volt battery packs to mimic the 40:60 front to rear balance of a classic mid-engined sports car. No word on whether the target weight is still 1,400kg.
