And what if the reasons he cited are about things you have supported here?

Such as the "evils of Cultural Marxism"?

Would that make you think twice about calling people you disagree with "mentally ill"?

They're displaying that one terrorist cannot corrupt the country's values.

Even a monster must be treated with the same standards as everyone else...both in rights and leisure. If they executed him or threw away the key, they'd turn him into a martyr and he'd have won. Even one of the girls who survived the incident said the same - she doesn't want their personal experiences and disdain for him affect how the country's laws treat him.

Treating him with cruelty will just prove his point.

He will sit for 21 years. After that, letting him out is the worst thing that can happen to him. He lives a life of relative luxury in prison, if he were to be let out, nobody would hire him and he'd have to look over his shoulder every waking second - because a LOT of very pissed off people are just waiting for that opportunity.

This isn't difficult, my statement is clear. I don't give a **** what he said, believes, reasons, religion etc because there are no reasons or excuses anyone can give for it the same way I don't give a **** what any of the mentally ill terrorists shooting up churches etc, no shits given for their excuses, political or religious garbage they spew, none of it.... their justifications are all irrelevant, there is no reason or excuse they can give that justifies their actions.

Agreed that there is no reason or justification.

I am curious as to whether you have ever reflected on what you say and support and how that aligns with what he said and supported and whether your constant need to call people you disagree with "mentally ill" just because they have a different opinion to you is healthy, given how some people have used that dehumanising rhetoric to murder 77 people?

Don't you think that it should give you reason to reflect on why you feel the need to dehumanise people and think about whether this is reasonable?

But the Norwegian Govt will probably make a plan. Rename him and give him a safe job somewhere

I disagree there.


Prison isn't punishment, especially in a country like Norway. It is there to protect the public from individuals until they can be rehabilitated. I don't think there is any way for someone like Breivik to be rehabilitated.
the stated maximum prison sentence in Norway is 21 years, but that can also be extended in five-year increments if the prison system determines that an offender is not rehabilitated by the end of his or her initial term. They can be extended in this way, every five years, indefinitely. So, essentially, there is an ability for an individual to serve life in prison, it’s just decided on an installment basis.

To any sane person, Breivik is just as much of a danger to society now as when he went into prison.
