Things that please you...

To be fair, if it's plugged into the wall most of the time, you're not really using any battery.
I charge it to 90%, then plug it in when it reaches 40% or so - never lower unless I have some emergency brewing.

Just checked the work M4 Macbook Air and it is on 60 cycles, 100% - will be interesting to see the stats after some years have passed as my usage patterns are quite similar in terms of how I use the battery.

Why are you stopping at 90%? Once it hits 100% the macbook will bypass the battery and just draw power from the wall.

Nevermind keeping it at 100% all the time stresses the battery. I keep mine at 80%.
How does that stress the battery? It's been bypassed and the device is drawing from the wall now, battery is chilling.
Though you do you, keeping it at 80% is fine as well, but ultimately doesn't really matter if it's being used plugged in, as it will still stop and pull from the wall at 80%.

Pulled 34kwh off the grid at cheap rate. 26.9kwh of that was charging batteries and 7.3kwh straight into the house, exported 11.5kwh at not so cheap rates and used 13kwh of battery storage into the house while the grid was expensive

A good friend shared a recent mix on Mix Cloud with a strong focus on early to mid-80s tunes. 3 hours of easy listening I am loving while getting on with my job.

If all goes well, today will bring to a close of 5 years of university studies we have been funding. If all goes well, I will be massively relieved and excited for the next chapter (as it includes a wee bit of payback).

3 Months just bulldozes by!

The Good:

- Probation passed ✔

- 16.7% Salary bump unlocked ✔

The Bad:

- Work is super busy at present, not "bad" as I genuinely enjoy what I do & the impact it brings in the longer term.

- What is actually bad is the prevalence of AI that has a direct impact of the industry & adjacent I am in. Job security is never guaranteed, for now I am good thankfully. In 9-12 months time who knows what but I'm acquiring (relevant) skills & experiences at a proper rate & my LI is pretty stacked out + I know the job market well. I've got good networking skills & a solid interview game. So whatever happens I will raise to the challenge.

The Cautionary Tale not to go down this route:

No lifestyle creep will be happening, a man has goals & goals require bucks.

The next thing planned is a one time squaring off of the TFSA for the year (planning a tactical game hence it was not done already).
