Tiscali ADSL and Microcom router

Hi guys i am trying to help a friend connect to the Tiscali DSL. I just connected a new Microcom router from incredible connection. The problem i am having is that i have to manually dial the coonection from the network connections window. I cannot just connect via explorer. Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong ?
My settings are on "never dial a connection".
Also i have entered the username and password in the router config window and it works fine for the first couple of times but then it does the same thing.

Seems that the DSL router needed a serious reset and it seems to have resolved the problem. Dont use the software that comes with the modem.
