Top Up Talking Points

So you may have guessed, I have a Top Up account with Vodacom. Now according to Vodacom you cannot claim talking points if you use top up.

Here's the thing. Whenever I load more airtime, it says I have earned so many talking points. Now isn't there anything which legally binds them to allow me to claim my talking points if it says I have earned them?

Also, what stops people from loading airtime onto a cheap prepaid sim and transferring it to the Top Up number? So why even bother preventing people gaining points on Top Up?

If it says you earned points then you have earned the points hey ... some years ago there was a dude that hacked into the FBI ... he got caught but the FBI didnt have a case ... hacking is illegal yes .. but when this dude hacked them and logged in he got a message " WELCOME " ... the Hacker got off scot free
For interest sake .. how many talking points do you have ???
 
I'm not sure, it says I earn a certain amount of points each time I load airtime. But the amount of money I waste, i should have enough to buy several phones :P hehe...

You can only transfer half of the airtime you load onto a sim.
 
I've also been wondering about this, but then you can't actually see a total amount of your talking points anywhere can you? You can only see what has been earned from topping up. Fact is those talking points go nowhere.

The top up account uses the same prepaid billing system, it effectively just preloads the specific top up amount at the beginning of the month. Then when you top up again, the prepaid "system" comes into effect.

I think Vodacom should change this quickly before they face a hoard of false advertising complainants.

lets look at it in this way...you must spend like 20000 rand on airtime just to get a a classy phone...now that sucks.
1 point for every 10rand airtime you buy...you do the maths.
check the points you must have to redeem a qwaai phone

I think it is a cool incentive ... you can accessories for talking points for airtime you would of bought anyway
