Tour de France 2011 thread

Indeed it'll be one of the most talked about stage victories for years to come. I laughed at Paul Sherwin last night as before Andy attacked, he was continuously advocating that someone has to attack on the Col d'Izoard and then when someone attacks, he was saying it was risky, probably not going to work etc! :D Of course what he was saying was true, but it's like he was going back on his word. I really wonder if Andy has anything left in the tank - he clearly had cracked in the last km yesterday...

That it did... I'm sure Leopard Trek's physio has really been working for his Dollars since last night :D
Yeah, Phil and Paul were quite the comedy duo yesterday... "Have to attack, have to attack... This could fail..." Also, Phil kept calling Andy Frank... Hahaha.

So it all comes down to the time trial today...a 42km circuit around Grenoble.

Andy will have the benefit of the time checks of Cadel Evans...let's hope he still has that "suitcase of courage" with him today.

Cadel! Phenomenal time trial. I feel sorry for Andy 'tho... still, two Schleck' on the podium tomorrow. Great 98th edition of the TDF. :D

Pity for Andy again. Those two descent finishes cost him perhaps. Then again Cadel did have that mechanical.

Congrats to him a deserved winner

I'm a bit suspicious of Cadel's amazing TT though. Here's a person who was 1'20 off Martin in the Criterium de Dauphine in the exact same course only 4.5 weeks ago. And then he did a whole lot of work over 3 weeks, especially in the mountains...and is only 7' behind Tony Martin aka Panzershrek?
