I have two seperate numbers on the MTN Network (one buiness and one private), and was wondering if it is at all possible to have both these numbers running on one phone. I don't want to have to carry two cellphones around with me, nor do I want to use call forward, as this just incurs a double charge on the network.

I notice that my phone is capable of a Line 1 and a Line 2 option. I was just wondering if MTN supports two numbers on one phone and how does a person go about getting this, and of course the cost involved.

I have tried contacting 808, but no one was able to give me a satisfactory answer.

I know this may be a bit off topic, but any assistance would be appreciated.

MTN does not support a single SIM with two phone numbers so one would need two phones. We have looked at this option. One problem is that different handsets implement this feature in different ways.

BTW, all sim cards are excatly the same arent they?
What if you had a jap card and you lived in s.a and had a MTN or cell-c card
but wanted to intercept both calls.
Do you think its possible?

Search Google for dual sim. Seems you can put 2 sim cards in a phone with a special device, but only one will work at a time, you just repower the phone to swap which sim is used. Not all that useful unless you want to have a different number after hours.

Hmm, this is quite disappointing, really, becuase my company has just taken over my MyCall 100 contract (meant to save me some money) and changed it to a business contract with only 40 anytime mins/mo (without telling me), so now i'm paying a fortune for my previously free off-peak personal calls.

I would really love to be able to take out another "cheapie" contract to do my personal calls on (saves me sifting though itemised billing to work out personal stuff, too).

Usualy folks want this feature to use 2 different networks, however if you want to use the same network I don't see why they could not offer it. If you want to pay extra to have a 2nd contract number ring on your cell phone so be it. For outgoing calls they could just require you to key in a *123# type command to switch the number used for outgoing calls.
