Hey I was wondering, has anyone here ever tried playing Ultima Online on some of the official shards?
I used to play on defiance quite a bit and it was all good for a while. Stopped that and now came back to try Kingdom Reborn on the official shards. Thing is, ping is terrible and mounts are a joke to try and ride. I mean you can play it if you just run around but where's the fun in that? I have a 4mb line and an unshaped account. I don't see how I can get such crap ping. Anyway I just wanted to see if there are any other people here who share my pain and if they've overcome it somehow.

I have also tried reactivating my old OSI accounts after I got UOKR, but as you say, the lag is still terrible. I love UO and it remains one of my favourite games. I have played on the local free shards, but I still miss the original gameplay.

I decided to reactivate my EQ2 account instead. At least the client is lag tolerant *sigh*
