*urgent* need help! question about my wireless router.

Help its urgent. First of all i needa explain what happened. I was on my sisters laptop like normal while dowlonding counter strike source. It wasl ike any other day but then boom. The uinternet for the laptop stopped working out of no where. For some reaso nthe internet on my comp is still working but no for the laptop. When my sister comes bak shell kkill me cuz shell think its my fualt. Any tips?

oh yah i tried to recconect the internet aumtomattically and manually by rehooking the cables but nothing happeneing. any help?

Im not far away from my wireless router either im right beside it im soo screwed right now -.-. I checked if the network got the ip adress autmatiacally and it did. and i ithnk its jsut my sisters laptop becuz i went on my ds to chek if it can still connect to wifi via the router and it worked

Press the Windows button (the button which has windows on it) and Pause, press the windows button first, hold it in then press Pause, release.

Now, click hardware>device manager> in device manager click network adapters, right click on one which has a mark or X on it, click enable.

It should work now

2 - Are you connecting using a dial-up connection on the laptop, or just connect-cable, go?
3 - Is the light on where the cable plugs in still shining?
4 - Did you ride over the cable with your chair a couple of times lately?

op= windows vista
2- connect- calbe
3- its still shining
4- the cables behind a wall but theres plenty of space around 2 inches or so

Okay, in Vista, press windows button and Pause> Pause is above Page UP on a normal keyboard, look for it.

Click device manager on the top left, network adapters, enable the one which is busted

I have just learnt that windoze vista randomy disables network cards.
Me now has 14 reasons not to get it.

But ... Windoze Button + Pause is nice shortcut to knows about.

LOL! no, it does not disable network cards, but people fiddle .

Stokey, we've got a male secretary who works in our wendy house, you should see how he laughs when he calls me "there's a virus on the computer". Then I check, low and behold, it's a flashing banner on a site, "virus found".

Winkey and Pause is a cool shortcut however
