Hi guys,

Im going on worse than any mother in law but why does no one play the instagib mutator in UT 2004 locally, its the only thing im a little bit useful in. The other thing is langames.co.za, i requested participation in the organised chaos lan almost a week ago, does it normally take so long for them to reply to your admission??? :confused:
 
It depends on how far ahead the lan usually is, and how competent these guys are at running it. Read the description, normally they have their own website as well. Alternatively you can contact one of the guys organizing it through the messenger thing they have there, he will receive an email.

Alternatively, just pitch up :D

Not sure re: the mutator, but as far as I know, most people don't play with any mods unless it's REALLY popular (and there's a server for it)
 
intsagib isn't popular, thats why. in the q3a days instagib was a great thing because it helped a bit with your game, with ut2kx it doesn't help.
also instagib is very ping requirement heavy. ping over 70 and instagib is a no-no.
 
Thats really bad news, I just installed COD last night with a unique cd key, I could not find any local servers though(anyone know of any) but i tried to join international servers in any case, everytime when its about to join, it says to me CD KEY ALREADY IN USE..........please try and reconnect later. But wait theres more, i have a key gen for COD amd i tried about seven different cd keys and it said the same thing, does this maybe have to do with the v1.5 patch, i just downloaded it. DFantom, are you the guy that plays quake 3 like a ***???? I think one of my friends from NAM knows you very well.

there you will find a list of servers, one of which should be COD. If you're getting a "CD KEY ALREADY IN USE" error, it probably means the copy you got is pirated, or someone opened the box and stole the CD Key before you purchased it (hopefully from a reputable place)

Always check if the game you are buying have been opened, they usually come in plastic wrap. Also, www.google.com and put in your cd key there, if you get any hits from pirate or crack sites, it is most likely you have a pirated copy of the game.

These days, games playable online, connects to a central server with a list of "good" cd keys. They authenticate you, then let you through to the gaming server. Pretty easy to spot how many concurrent users then log on with the same CD key and ban that CD key and mark it as pirated or invalid.

Most keygens aren't keygens at all but pretty interfaces to a list of keys available. These script kiddies now days are too lazy to crack the math to work out the code, but still want to look good so they say it's a keygen.

Actually you are probebly thinking of Ph4ntom who used to own Q3A in this country.
 
Gohan, i'm an avid player of COD so i can tell you exactly what u need to play it. For starters, you need to get the expansion pack, United Offensive. No one plays the standard call of duty anymore so they stopped the servers. You don't need to have a legit copy of the original call of duty i don't think, but you most definately need to buy your own copy of United Offensive. There is no way that you'll get a keygen to work for online play.

I think UO retails for around R180-R200 in the shops. Or you can get the deluxe edition which includes the original for R300 or so.

New players are always welcome on the server!! :)
