I've seen the ad twice on tv so far, SABC2 i think, for Verizon? Anybodu have any idea what they are doing here?
 
as far as i remember thy bought out MCI which owned UUNET. therefore UUNET is now Verizon Business

That would be correct.
 
Ah, that does make alot more sence. I did see that they bought MCI but never made the connection to MCI and UUNET
