i have just download my first 5 videos from youtube and at the moment they play in the flv player on my desktop (all done with the information you guys on the forum gave me), what i want to know is how do i copy them to a dvd disc. would i have to convert them to another format and then copy it to the disc. thanks for the help all.

It all depends on what you want to do with the dvd disk. If you plan to author a dvd to play in a standard dvd player then yes - you'll need to do some work.
morning and yes what my plan is its to make my own compilation dvd of music videos for the songs i have on my mp4 and watch them onmy dvd players or computer. i have copied the one song into wma format as a test and it worked on the computer.
the dvd player is probably going to need a properly authored dvd while the computer will play pretty much anything.
Try NeroVision Express if you want to author a dvd.
