violent crime

Thank God, you and your Kronies are not running the country, or we would have been in the ****
Um where are we - if not in the ****?

I don't really understand everyone screaming that the government 'must do something' about crime. They are doing something, and the figures shows it.

The problem is just very challenging and declaring a state of emergency and bringing back apartheid restriction of movement laws is not going to be a good measure at all. To fix it is a slow process.

Bringing back the death penalty is not going to make such a tremendous difference. One of the cities in the US with a worse murder rate than Johannesburg is in a state which imposes the death penalty. It's not helping.

Our most serious problems are murder by gun and rape. The government is implementing first world style gun policies and that should certainly help. Better victim and witness protection for rape would go a long way, but I am unfamiliar with the projects concerning these.
Talk about tip-toeing through the daisies - or turds. While I don't disagree, why is there this total denial of reality? Just one short month ago - >people< were being told to STFU - now it's a national response - pleeaze!!

->apartheid restriction of movement laws

Mad or simply delusional (to even suggest such a thing?) - perhaps border control would help?

When all guns are illegal only criminals will have guns. Uum AK47 anyone?

Everything be pink (oops, blue - oops, tiger stripped, oops, yellow, oops ad-infinitum)

An example of the failure of our borders:
At Komatipoort, the border between us and Mosambique is patrolled, right?
Right, but it's patrolled by incompetent fools. A 100m from the guard post, is a dirt track, made by many feet, that runs under the electric fence into SA. The patrols apparently can't see it, or the fence that is lifted, so that people can come through under it.

I see this as a symptom of the decease which is our goverments incompetent attitude towards crime in general. They will make a lot of public speaches, condemning this or that attack, but nothing changes. And don't even get me started on the uselessness of opposition parties.

If you can't see it, did it really happen?? :confused: :D
