Vista Media center

Hi guys, I just got a gigabyte tv card, got the vista drivers for it and everything, installs no problem, but media center keeps telling me it tunner not found.

any ideas?

Is the card Vista compatible?

it must be if there are drivers for it for vista, or is there only a set list of cards that work with vists MCE. It works with powercinema 5 but keeps rebooting the machine at random times while watching tv

Media center works only on a certain set of tv cards ie www.hauppauge.com cards and 1 leadteck card too.

My guess, and it is a guess, would be driver conflict.

That is a very good link, will really help with future decisions. The only problem is that that list does not give you TV cards compatible with Media Center. The main thing is that the TV card has to be able to do hardware encoding on the cards itself and not pass it onto the cpu.

Have a look at this link, it should give you a base to start from with vendors that do make MCE compatible hardware.
