Most .NET dev companies have one of the Microsoft partnership agreement things.

I'm sure they'd include VS 2010 Ultimate for a lot less money....

We tried using our MSDN subscription. M$ SA told us they wouldn't give us discount. We asked if we could then buy one license put it on shared PC so Devs could at least use some of the cool testign features. They said "NO!" because a license is tied to a developer so that would be cheating if 5 devs used that version. Its a strict 1 license per developer policy they said.

I would say don't buy me a license. Rather give me the money to buy a car and I promise I'll code in notepad.
