Hi
I've recently setup my 3G card in fedora 3. No hassels or problems with it until i downloaded the lastest kernel update. (kernel-2.6.10-1.770_FC3.i686.) and (kernel-2.6.11-1.14_FC3.i686)
The card connects and disconnects fine, the hardware works i think. But when i open a web page it starts to send and recieves a few bytes, but nothing more. Sometimes i can open small web pages. When i reboot with the old kernel 2.6.9.1 it works 100%.

I use KPPP to connect. (Its easy to set up)
Using U630 with the yenta cardbus controller.

Is there any network setting that i can play with? What does the kernel change that infuences my newtwork connection? I suspect that its the way the information is sent or routed.

Please help

Hi BennieB

Unfortunately I am not able to help - Linux n00b alert ;)

For the benefit of those that are experienced enough to help, is it the Novatel card that you've got?

PS: Welcome to MyADSL.

Thanx Novatel...

I've been trying to fix this problem for 3 weeks now.
Upgraded my U630 with the new rev.14 firmware update.
Works 100%

Thanx to V3G, for posting the info on this forum
