Vodacom Black Friday 2023

I cant say because I dont know

Will you please spearhead an effort and subject Shameel Joosub on your corporate intranet with some hard-hitting questions about it all, and post the screenshots?

It's for the greater good, man - please don't leave us hanging ...

Dit is naweek. Los my uit. Ek nou klaar met Vodacom goed tot Maandag :p:p

@Ockie

We implore you to make a move and score big time!

Do NOT let the fĂşcking enemy (MTN) score any more subscription sign-ups that could have single-handedly been avoided by your unselfish efforts in the spirit of Christmas ...

Unburden your semi-guilty conscience and do not be burdened any further, just ...

ACT NOWWWWW!

Very disappointed that Vodacom didn't come to the party with a decent mobile data deal this BF. Unfortunately I will be giving notice on my 2021 BF deal and will be joining the MTN team. Their 70GB + 130GB mobile data @ R 299 is a winner for me.

The best Vodacom can do is 130GB (50 daytime & 50GB night time + 30GB promo anytime) @ R 299. Nighttime data is shite and should be scrapped. Voda basically giving 80GB for the same price that MTN is charging for 200GB. MTN also allowing data share on the basic 70GB part of the plan.

I'm not willing to sign up for a home internet deal that might or might not work in a phone. When we signed up 2 years ago there wasn't much mention of having to use routers. The add this year is mentioning it prominently and I suspect they will somehow enforce it going forward.

I will be moving over to MTN once my contract is finished in June:)

Ok, so phoned cancelations this afternoon. Assistant very helpful and well trained. "No please, don't cancel, let's see what we can do."

Ended up upgrading to a 100GB + 100GB (day & night) + bonus 50GB anytime data deal @ R 199/month.
Assured me that my son can continue using the contract in his phone and that it does not require any specific pre-approved router.
This deal is more than sufficient for my/his needs at varsity, but unfortunately no data sharing.

Tried to do one of these black Friday deals but bloody heal i have given up with Vodacom and there after sales department been struggling since Friday last week with them to give my correct number to the courier company

Around 10 calls later and still they couldn't do it, now there social team on X or twitter is ignoring me since i told them i want all my contracts cancelled with Vodacom and i am finished with this company

It's not greener on the other side.
Just so you know.

Sigh, so the upgrade went through yesterday and would you know it, no fu_king signal on my son's phone since. Guess who's phoning Vodacom tomorrow to give them hell. At least I made a note of the exact date and name I phoned them so they are welcome to pull the call and listen to it.

Noted. Maybe it's time your call centre management start listening to some of those calls that gets recorded for "quality purposes" to hear what the agents are actually telling your customers. I can provide the exact date and time I called, even the name of the agent I spoke to.

I've had a Home Internet deal since BF 2021 that was always used in a phone without issue. When phoning to cancel, the agent was specifically told that I want mobile data that I can continue using in a phone. According to her, sure no problem. Well that turned out to be a blatant lie.

Now waiting for the "upgrade" to be reversed so that I can cancel. Apparently takes up to 48 hours so I guess we'll see.
