Warcraft 3 running too fast :(

Stupid dual core cpu.

I bought the Warcraft 3 Warchest about three weeks ago, it played lekker on my 3800+. Now with my 4400+ it's unplayable.

And for some lame reason I can't deactivate one of the cores while playing. Any ideas? I really want to play it again.

Have you installed the Windows SP2 hotfix?

If you want to disable it, follow instructions below

1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
2. Right-click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Curr entControlSet\Control\Session Manager, point to New, and then click Key.
3. Type Throttle for the new key name.
4. Right-click Throttle, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
5. Type PerfEnablePackageIdle for the value name.
6. Right-click PerfEnablePackageIdle, and then click Modify.
7. In the Value data box, type 0. Make sure that Hexadecimal is selected in the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, and then click OK.
Note You can type 1 in the Value data box to enable the new performance state policy behavior.
8. Quit Registry Editor.

No no no, you don't understand. When I'm in the game and and I move my mouse cursor to the edge of the screen, you now to scroll up or down or whatever, it doesn't scroll, it jumps all the way to the edge of the map.

The ingame movies actually hang, the script still shows up on the bottom and you can still hear what they are saying but the screen hangs.

I've set the scroll speed to the lowest and even gameplay to the lowest, still no joy.

oh, I was thinking the same thing as Blue Collar..

I havent really heard of this.. do dual cores cause alot of problems?

weird. who would have thought. it's like them old dos games whn you played them on pentiums in windows 95.
