Ok, ladies and gents, I'm making a site live today (so it's a bit late for this to have any effect on the final product), but I would like to have some positive critique on a site I've done.

I didn't do the design - I took an existing design and streamlined it (55 images in the initial page design, without content), then added content. The headings/subheadings are done in Inkscape, using the existing design (there is a sister site).

Please let me know if I've missed anything. I've tried to do a clean, fast-loading site. The final site is actually cleaner (images have height and width tags, for example, and javascript removed on all pages barring contact), but I value your opinion, which is why I'm doing this:

Be nice, hey?

OOPSIE: Um, please don't actually submit a completed email! It goes to a live email address, of said client!!

looks like 90% of business sites.

i guess you can't do anything about their boring logo - that's their fault.

i sent 3, before reading your post :(

only one thing i don't like on the site is the logo with its gradiant shading from one blue to other blue. that might look better of solid color, well imho anyways.

Ahhh... see you got rid of all the WYSIWYG-tables and CSS in favor of a clean, div-based layout with proper CSS. Nice! :D

jquery.gatracker.js is a jquery plugin for Google's Analysis. It simplifies having to have the tracking code at the bottom of the page to having one line of code in the ready function - and it makes it happen behind the scenes. Brilliant. No more of that "waiting for ..." at the bottom of the screen once the page is loaded.

Of course, I'm not using it yet, and have removed it from the final version. Client didn't ask for it.

Took me the better part of 6 hours to do so. ;) I changed my direction twice too - initially I had separate graphics, then I consolidated them, then I changed the menu to sprites... eish.

I was only joking... ;) I'm the same - I'll tinker and change until I'm absolutely sure that I achieved what I wanted. Then I'll start from scratch and take a completely new direction. :D

This site is absolutely broken in Firefox.

Well done. Looks clean and professional. Only thing that I don't like, like previous posters have stated, is their logo.

^^ :D

Thanks for all the comments. My client received 8 test emails - at least that part works! ;)
