Web Hosting Options in 2020 for Wordpress Websites

Morning,

Can you send me a pm with the clientzone email so I can have a look why you were charged.
I'll message you now, thanks. Your support confirmed this morning that a refund request will be relayed to the billing department, and that I should receive my money in 7-14 days. Sounds like a money-making racket. Never heard of such a slow refund turnaround.

AWS
Azure

No contest.

Load-balancing, CDN on demand, staging and a host of workflow integration tools as well.
Hi, I apologize for dropping in on this thread but didn't want to ask the question twice.

Cloudways just added the AWS Capetown data Centre so they are now on the map in SA. I do not have the expertise to get going with AWS by myself so a managed option is the only way forward at this stage.

Would you say the difference in price is worth it? The guys in the US that use them, swear by vultr, digital Ocean and other offerings from cloudways but unfortunately, no data centres here.

Morning,

This is concerning. I want to investigate this as a matter of urgency. Can I get in touch with you to discuss?
Hi @AfriNatic, This is potentially a big issue, Can you confirm if this is true, we host emails with you for the reason we wanted it safe, if this is true we need to tell clients of potential data breaches and start the process of disclosure.

Regards
Darren

Hi,

I'm discussing the matter with the head of hosting and managers once I have feedback I will provide you with any answers you may have.

Do you perhaps have any information yet?

Not yet. I have been assured that this will never happen however I have reached out to Waylander to provide any serials numbers for us to track the hardware and check what happened.

Even though old servers are given to staff for free they are completely wiped of any data. If something went wrong we want to investigate and see why and who is responsible because we do take our clients privacy and data very seriously.

Honestly, for most purposes, AWS/Azure console removes most of the technical risk for most deployments.

That being said, a managed solution works as long as they're not gouging you. Just keep in mind, ZA power means the local DCs run at around 20% more expensive than stateside or even the European DCs.
