The greedy do not fear. If they did they'd never risk it all to get more. Nor are they lazy. If they were they'd never get more. You always have to be on the look out otherwise they will get you to hand over your money.

Put it to you this way. If I steal your content and place it onto my web site for free. It could be anything from a picture you took to a video you made and I did not have permission you can try contact me via the contact page.

I could then just ignore you and carry on uploading content that does not belong to me. This is when you check the whois of my web site to find out who is hosting my site and who you can contact.

I personally host all my sites on hostgator. If you mail them and prove to them that the content belongs to you and you did make an attempt to contact me they will shut my site down. If you wanted to take it further you can use my personal information to find me and sue me for using your content without permission.
