What do you think about OpenOffice.org

Used Lotus 123 in 1986. Use Lotus Smartsuite now. Lotus licencing allows Work machine, home machine and laptop providing not used concurrently. When we bought our last copy it was about 3% of the cost of MS office.

Billy, do you know if Lotus stuff now uses xml as its native file format?

The reason I ask- it is waaaay easier for us developers to create & apply some xslt to convert a document from one app to another if they all use xml dialects as their native file formats. xml is key to interoperability & compatibility.
