I am on a 4MB line, and my cap ran out with Telkomsa a while ago so using WebAfrica Prepaid.

At about 20.30 or so, my internet got so slow...websites weren't opening, couldn't chat on MSN. Kept getting disconnected etc! Then eventually I got it to work sort-of, tried downloading a torrent, and it was coming down at 10kb/s (1000seeds, 200 leeches) so I was not happy. Suddenly, the speed jumped up to 170kb/s and my internet is flying! I hope it stays like this....a 1 day ETA turned out to be a couple of mins!

On a side note, it actually works out cheaper to buy a Series (like Boston Legal, Greys etc) from Amazon and ship it here - then it is to illegally download it using telkoms 4gb they gave me (on my 3gb account) and R70 gigabytes from WebAfrica.

Yes, someone must teach me how to use this news-server thing. Also, how to get my netgear router to take 2 usernames and route my international and local traffic.

it only works out more expensive because you're paying thru your nose for a 4mb line and a small cap, whereas i'm on the 384k Throttled but uncapped service, i'm in no hurry, and pull an average between 60 - 120gig p/m... so for me, it works out cheaper to download them eps, watch them, burn them, pack them away for a rainy day!.

How much do you pay for the throttled and uncapped 384k account?
