This article has the title, "Radebe keeps his cool amid racism". Could someone point me in the direction of the racism?

Or am I just missing something....

Radebe keeps his cool amid racism

April 07 2007 at 08:56AM

Attending the Laureus Sports Awards in Barcelona this week, Lucas Radebe must have been incensed by one question posed to him. Here he was, rubbing shoulders with the who's who of world sport and, suddenly, one cheeky reporter threw an inquiry at him about the security situation in South Africa ahead of World Cup 2010.

To his credit, Radebe was philosophical in his response, telling the reporter that "in actual fact the security situation has improved greatly and things have been tightened up".

The former Bafana Bafana captain, according to the report sent out by Reuters on Monday, said: "There have been a lot of doubts about the security and our capacity to stage the tournament, but those concerns wil only help us to solve those important issues."

I missed it to! Maybe when people think of SA they think racism?

A question was asked about crime, speculation over our past should not be in a newspaper in an article like this.

Just the usual, they blame everything on:
1)Racism
2)Western Country (IE. Tony Blair is blamed for Zimbabwe  )
3)Old Regime
... Might have missed a few..

Certain political parties in Africa(notably ANC and mugabe) just can't except responsibility and when they are questioned they use one of the above excuses.
When they fail which coincidentally they do quite often and they need to explain they use the above excuses also.

When they actually do exceed it's always of their own brilliance because they overcome one of the above.

Nothing new really...

See this oke is like the writer stupid and maybe racist to.

WTF does ANC and Mugabe have to do with this?

What I think he is trying to say, is that whenever someone here in africa fails (which happens a real lot) or some policy fails or they get caught out for corruption, the race card is often played as the excuse for their own greed/incompetence/corruption.

The problem now is they are using it for just about every excuse and people are starting not to listen anymore. Apparently some people in Africa do not know the story of "The boy the cried wolf"

How is the race card played when they get caught? Did Yengeni play it? Did Shaik Play it?

I think its the other way around, you guys are assuming everything is racial motivated.

Did Mugabe play it? Yes
Did Mbeki play it? Yes
Have half our ministers played it? Yes

I have even had the race card played on me by a top level icasa person.

Yengeni and Shaik just got 5 star accommodation in their prisons... why would they play the race card? They got away with it (compared to normal people).

PS Jk8, when I leave this discussion it will be when the kids corner or our local MYkkk group jumps on board (just to let you know if I stop suddenly posting in this thread)
