Which lags least - EU or US

Hi

I recently got an e-mail from Take2 saying that had received a limited stock of WoW (EU version) so I immediately went and bought it. It's due to arrive early next week.

So I went and started asking some of my friends for a few basic tips, when someone told me that the US version was optimised for Australia, and therefore less laggy there than the EU version.

My question is this: has Blizzard optimised one of the versions to run more smoothly in SA, and if not which one is generally less lagging?

AFAIK they have not optimised any servers for sa, some people prefer to play on the us servers because ping is good and IMO the majority of sa WOWers play on the us servers. many people are playin on the ue version tho.

i was told you can just change the realmlist in the game and play on eu and us, dunno how true it is tho!

I have played on both versions and I think the EU ping is much more stable. On the US version I regularly got these 2000-20 000ms spikes. I did not get these on the EU version. Telscum might have changed things inbetween my experiences thow.

I play on EU server on HOME ADSL account and get between 456-666, never gotten more.
