wifi hotspots

can someone tell me how this wireless hotspots at for example jhb intl airport and sandton city works? what do you need to connect to them? and do you need like an "account" with some ISP or is it free or what?

Various options

The SSID you need to add is called INTERNET. If you have an MWEB account (ADSL only?) you can login with your MWEB details. I login with Ipass since I have an Ipass account. You can also log in with other service providers - mostly internationals, but i understand you can use IS accounts as well. If you don't have one on the list, you can use Credit Card, but be warned, it's probably cheaper to purchase a month's worth of IS ADSL if you use it often - last time I tried CC, it was about R90/hr!

mmm any idea if datapro would be one of the isp's you can use?

sorry stupid question datapro propably dont know what wifi is.

Unfortunately they dont list all the SPs - I use Ipass and it's not on the list.
btw - mugg and bean, EL has free internet access which "spills" over into Vincent Park parking lot upstairs.
