Why not? He has been coming back to form lately.
He has an overall winning record against Rafa, and injuries aside is usually the player most likely to give Nadal problems on any surface.
 
Any chance for anderson? I felt like he would prefer djokovic..not sure why.

There is always a chance. One of the challenges for Anderson is that he'll be facing perhaps the premier return of service player on tour.
The other obvious factors will be fatigue from the previous match. But that has somewhat evened itself out with Djokovic not been able to have a full rest day before tomorrows match.

Djokovic should win, IMO. But that is never written in stone.

He has a chance but it's not great...he's 0-5 and 1-5 against Nadal and Djokovic (can't remember which way around it is).

I'd say maybe a 30% chance. He'll have to serve solidly and play positive - he isn't good enough to trade with Djokovic from the baseline.
 
On the plus side this match will be over before the soccer starts.
 
Anderson up to 5th now in the ATP rankings. Lofty heights for him.
He has a bunch of points to defend at the US Open though, having made the finals there last year.
