Anyone tried setting up miwireless connection on a win2k server??
Loaded up a fresh box this morning, loaded the software, and lo and behold, got the good old 404 error while trying to do the initialization for the the connection.
closed ie, an the sentech dialler said some nonsense about my cookies.
Set all security to low on ie, accept all cookies, and got the same Bs.
proceeded to load service pack 4, then ie6, again changed all settings on ie, same Bs.
After pulling out a few tufts of hair, I found a updates folder on the mywireless CD, in there a little registry configuration, ran it, it asked for user name and password and set up everything for me, so i didn't need to do the web registration.
YaY, still didn't help me, the only sites I could see were sentech.co.za, and pieces of google home page.
any other page I tried to view, It would resolve IP from the URL, and give me the page title, but no other info can be retrieved.
Weird aint it.

Spoke to Jason at sentech support, he tried his hardest, even told me to go and look at 'this great forum' myadsl [8D] well, at least sentech recognise our existence!!
Anyways, he said he'd call me tomorrow with some news on the situation, apparently someone else also had the same issues this week, and they working on it.

If anyones succesfully got it running on 2k server, Wtf did u do?
Proasm, my wireless guru dude, what does your infinite wireless widom have for me??

the only place i've seen this was on pc's using ICS over a sentech modem. Only way i could fix it was to use a proxy on the dialer machine.

Anyhow, have you tried another browser, like firefox perhaps?

Look at my posts on "RWIN and MTU and Dr. TCP" I have had similar problems and the only way around was to set up the MTU correctly with Dr. TCP.

PLEASE, Any other tips, settings for Dr. TCP, I tried Robones settings on the MTU Post, to no avail, Sentechs A BUngling bunch of idiots, they tell me they having some sort of fault, Then the next day they tell me its all fixed, heres what I should do ... Disconnect, then reconnect, and presto, still not getting anything more than page headers!!

Something interesting I got from support, one day they tell me to see if anyones having issues on myadsl and to get some pointers, so I told him I'm trying Dr. Tcp, he responds : "I know a lot of guys on myadsl swear by it, but I don't endorse you use it".
[:(!]What cheeky double standards[:(!]

Why not drive to another coverage area for a different tower (using a notebook or going to a friends house) and also try the modem in another PC. You may need to flash it as well. Search on the forum for guidelines on flashing your modem. It could be faulty. Also try another USB hub on your PC (or even port) I mean, move it from the front of the box to the back (if this applies) they are on different hubs. Also remove all other modems and NICs before reinstalling the modem / trying to connect.
