Bye-bye Windows! My three-month Macintosh trial has ended, but my permanent gig with the Mac is just getting started. Apple's MacBook Pro and Mac OS X are now my computer and operating system of choice.

If you give the Mac three months, as I did, you won't go back either. The hardest part is paying for it -- everything after that gets easier and easier. Perhaps fittingly, it took me the full three-month trial period to pay off my expensive MacBook Pro. But the darn thing is worth every penny

Thats why most mac owners are adults :D

Besides - bootcamp - DirectX 10 on the Mac :)

Bootcamp lets you dual boot osx and windoze on a mac. You set up the full version of the OS on it's own partition and it is 100% native.

BTW - You can also use that same install with parallels inside OsX but you do have to sacrifice a few things.
 
Ok that's cool but that means mac are'nt any different from pc's anymore.

I remember they were using risc processors on the mac that's why you couldn't install windows.

The cpu's these days are intels but there's still a fair bit of difference above and beyond hardware similarities. Pick up a macbook pro and there is an obvious sense of quality.

I also see a Mac and the ability to run OsX as a complete package as well as a defining characteristic that isnt easily duplicated on a generic pc.

I rarely use windows but if I wanted to I could do so easily. :)

I am getting there - starting to wonder if i shouldn't have taken the iMac instead of the Macbook. The price was the same, same specs except the iMac has a 17" lcd and 160g HDD and a dedicated screencard..... hmmm! :rolleyes:
Later this year maybe!!!

In fact if you have a look the specs of the 17" mbp are almost identical to the mid to high end range iMacs.
