Windows Steadystate...

I'm looking for a software utility that works similar to Windows Steadystate... that will not lock the use of the windows services, i'm running a service that need to start... for some reason steadystate dont allow the non standard windows services to start,... maybe someone found the same problem and found a workaround on this problem...

Can't you configure SteadyState to allow the service? Found this guide, not sure how much it helps.

A quick search on osalt turned up no free alternative...
