I want to connect 5 pc's that are in seperate rooms, but the walls are those dry walls. No big files are going to be transferred from pc to pc. Is wireless a better option here than wired? I also want to know if you get a adapter or something for a printer to also be wireless?

I recon that will be fine. Get urself either a Netgear or Linksys Router, maybe linksys cos it has 2 antenna. You can get urself a wireless print server which will plug into your printer. These are quite expensive, R1100, so maybe just buy a new printer with a network port in it and hook it up directly to the Wireless Router. Good Luck

Get yourself a wireless router with a build in print server. That way you plug your printer into the router and the 5 computers then print wirelessly to the printer via the router.

Wireless will be fine with regards to the dry walls. You do get wireless print servers that attach to the USB port of the Printer, but these arent compatible with certain USB printers ( i found out the hard way) and they are a pain in a**, but they can and do work. so it is possible, but i think it would be best to put a network printer in the LAN port of the wireless router.

Thanks, I will check out the options. The wireless router with the printer plugged into the lan port sounds like the ideal solution.
