Wireless wired confused HELP!! please

hey i have 3 computers connected thru an ethernet wired hub to a ISP supplied router (i have no access to it, password protected and all that, ISP property) which then gives me access to internet (wireless)

i now have a laptop which i wish to connect wirelessly. in my haste i rushed out and bought a usb wireless adapter for my desktop thinking all would work fine and i could connect thru my pc thru the hub thru the router to the internet.... well it didnt work. (or did i do something wrong)

anyway i wanna know what i can do to make this work. can i run my desktop as a router and then onto my isp router and both computers will have internet access. or what are my other options?

pretty desperate to get this to work, otherwise i just wasted 500 bux

you will probably need to get an Access Point and plug that into the hub. then your desktop and laptop connect to that

you can try use internet connection sharing on the desktop
