i think thats the mod i have, do any of you out there have the same mod?

how safe is it to go on Live with that mod?

im not sure exactly what was said about my specific mod, im just not really sure whether i should go online or not.

please if you dont own an xbox 360 or do not have any relevant knowledge of 360 modding dont post here thanks.
 
Live will brick the box :D

Maybe not the first time but it will happen when they update their scan. Silly thing to do... Enjoy GOW by yourself or get the mod removed...

Just checked a 'hacking' site for you. Here are the results after someone tried to update through live

That seems to answer the question. If the update fails you cannot use live.

you could just flash it back to its original firmware and update like that or you could get a modchip and turn it off when going live. most modchip can be flashed to the latest versions. I would go the modchip way, its safer since you can turn it off and update it.
 
And you don't think the power of M$'s developers can find a way to pick it up?

Just by the games legally and all these issues go away.
 
this same guy boasted on the X360 forums about his piracy and his golf GTI... i wonder how little his brain actually is... sigh.
 
lol, you never know he might know more than the entire M$ development and business team combined? It's possible..
 
You obiviously not talking about me cause I dont own a gti nor do I boast about piracy. Anyways in these days M$ might find a way to brick your 360 but it wont be long before someone finds a way to get around it. If you take a look at xbox M$ also updated the dashboards with new games coming out. and the xbox is a awesome console. copying the entire games/movies/divx's to your hard drive. any playing them from there.
 
Yeah so you end up spending more time trying to get around them bricking your console than you do actually just enjoying the machine.

It's just not worth it, if you can afford the system you can afford the games.
If you can't afford the top games then tough. That is how capitalism works. Work harder :D

i see your point GavinMannion, yes its a good un'. But i must say it does have its pros though. Granted the fact that i cant go online really does suck, but when you approach the the experience like the ps2, then its actually a crap load of fun.

The latter mentioned method of entertainment however can only be successfully executed if the user has friends, and no im not talking about imaginary myadsl forum troll blowupdoll friends, im talking about organic lifeforms not bothered by your physical defects that, ever since as a child, confused you as to why you just could never get the pretty girls...

Seriously not the best reason I have seen to mod an Xbox...
