value for money? Wait until next week to see if the price cut hits and if not the best bet would be a PES bundle from IC I think
 
Gavin or Doobiwan or one of the other Xbox pros out there... are there stats out on the number of Elites experiencing RROD?

There are no stats of any Xbox 360 experiencing RROD :D

I have not heard of many of them having a problem though, but that is not backed up with any evidence either way....

just keep saying it "3 year warranty, 3 year warranty, 3 year warranty" :D
 
As I think I was going to mention but don't think I did . . ;) . . .

There's is very little to be worried about Elite reliability when they arrive here - They will be the latest build, which as we know already has the upgraded heat sink and for all intents and purposes may very well already have the Falcon chips, considering they've been in production for 2 quarters already.

On the bundle deal - Pro+Extra Wireless controller+ game for R4k is the standard "good deal" the games varies by store. More importantly it's nigh confirmed there's a price cut coming on the 12th (Announcement will happen on the 8th), so it's probably worth it to wait a bit.

new Prices:
Pro - $350 ($50)
Elite - $450 ($30)
Core - $280 ($20)

I'm not pre-ordering or buying at launch...I'd rather see what bundles come along, but that's just me :)
 
For R4.5K I want to see either built-in wireless network or HD-DVD player. Well maybe for R5k. Just because they add HDMI output and bigger HD, now they put up the price, it should be standard.
 
I don't want a built in Blu-Ray or HD-DVD player thanks, but I agree I want a built in WiFi but that should be standard at R3600...

Ag welll you can't win them all.... If I didn't have one now I would still go for the premium, I see no real use for the Elite right now
