HTC unveils “squeezable” U11 Android 7 smartphone
HTC has unveiled is latest flagship Android smartphone, the U11.
The device features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM, and the Android 7.1 OS.
HTC said the U11 is the world’s first smartphone with “revolutionary new squeeze interaction”.
“With a simple squeeze, HTC Edge Sense lets you easily engage with your phone in an unprecedented yet intuitive way, helping you more naturally enjoy the things you love, like taking photos, opening Facebook, or launching any of your favorite apps,” said HTC.
“For example, with HTC Edge Sense, launching your camera has never been easier – just lift, squeeze, smile, and snap.” Users are also able to customise the “squeeze gesture” to perform tasks, like opening an email.
HTC said the device features a Liquid Surface, which is a “stunning, unique design that reflects you”, and the best camera ever put in a smartphone – which scored 90 when rated by DxOMark.
Support for Amazon Alexa is also included with the U11.
The U11 is available for preorder from HTC.com for $649.
