Telkom to invest R30bn on capex

"We have to spend this money in order for us to be able to cope with the demands," he said.
 
"We have to invest in our future. Our revenues are under pressure. We can’t sit back and let our business die. We have an obligation to our shareholders," he added.
 
In line with customer demand and sound financial criteria, Telkom would continue to invest in improving its network and the orderly migration to an IP-based network to supply next generation products and services.
 
Telkom’s existing infrastructure would be optimised in order to minimise the capex requirements, he said.
