Five great camera features of the new vivo V70 smartphone

The vivo V70 is a stylish, camera-first flagship that is built for everyone – from heavy everyday users to passionate content creators.

Its photography focus was clear from the moment I launched the camera, with a range of AI features built into a powerful triple-sensor array.

The AI guided me into capturing the best shots, and several AI editing features helped me further refine each capture after the fact – such as removing random photobombers.

Beyond that, the vivo V70 also offered a balanced feel overall. While the camera system is a highlight, the display, battery, and refined build are all clearly flagship-level features.

Below, I highlight five features that define the vivo V70 camera system’s excellence.

1. Consistent results

The first thing that stands out when using the vivo V70 is how consistently reliable the main camera is.

The 50MP ZEISS OIS main sensor is a powerful everyday workhorse, and it shows in how effortlessly it handles different shooting conditions.

Whether it’s quick snapshots during the day or more creative shots in lower light, the results come through with strong clarity and vibrant colour.

What’s particularly noticeable is how much light the sensor is able to capture naturally, thanks to the wide f/1.88 aperture, which helps keep images bright and detailed without much tweaking or editing.

The 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera is backed up by a 50MP ZEISS Super Telephoto Camera and an 8MP ZEISS ultra-wide-angle camera, which offer next-level versatility and help deliver consistent results.

2. Pro-grade portraits

The second great camera feature is the V70’s stunning portrait photography.

85mm and 100mm focal length options gave my subjects a natural portrait look. The people stood out clearly while the background gently melted away into soft bokeh.

The result was professional looking portraits, with the benefit of complete automation, whether I was capturing people outdoors in natural light or indoors in a more controlled setting.

The AI Magic Weather feature added a creative layer to this, letting me cycle between each season to choose the right mood for my portraits, and it adjusted the backgrounds and tones of the image to match.

3. Super telephoto system with AI Stage Mode

The 50MP ZEISS super telephoto camera also combines with a specialised AI Stage Mode, which is designed for concertgoers.

With 3x optical and 10x digital zoom, I could zoom in to any subject and capture it with clarity.

The AI Stage Mode took this to the next level, working alongside the hardware to refine details and ensure shots were crisp when capturing a musician on stage – even from a distance.

This was perfectly complemented by the smart AI audio enhancement when I decided to switch to video.

4. Cinematic video with smart AI audio enhancement

That’s where the fourth noteworthy feature comes in – 4K recording, complemented by AI Audio Enhancement.

Shooting in 4K at 60fps gave my footage a smooth, cinematic quality, whether I was recording walking scenes, social moments, or nature.

What really enhances the experience is the AI Audio Noise Eraser – combining well with the V70’s great concert capturing abilities.

In busy environments, it helped to reduce background noise and distractions so that the main audio remained clear and focused.

5. Intelligent AI editing tools like AI Erase and AI Image Expander

One of the most useful parts of the vivo V70 experience happens after I’ve captured my content.

The built-in AI editing tools feel intuitive and genuinely helpful, especially when I wanted to quickly refine images without diving into complex editing apps.

AI Erase was great for traveling. When I wanted to remove random tourists that stood between me and the monument I was posing with, the V70 could do it with a simple tap.

AI Image Expander took things a step further when I was reviewing my images the next day.

If you’ve ever taken a photo and looked at it later and wished you could correct it, this one is for you. While it’s easy to crop into a photo, it’s impossible to zoom out. But not with the vivo V70.

It let me extend the edges of images in a way that still looked natural or ‘normal’.

Together, these tools made a noticeable difference in photos.

A display, battery, and build that support everything else

While the camera system is clearly the highlight, the rest of the vivo V70 experience supports it with flagship hardware.

A powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage provided exceptional performance, and were supported by a large 6,500mAh battery.

The 1.5K Ultra Clear OLED display gave everything a vibrant, sharp look, which was especially great when reviewing my photos or watching YouTube, and everything was rounded out by a durable build.
