Openweb promises higher caps for less
Openweb MD Keoma Wright said that they are currently busy testing a ‘very exciting new product’ that they are hoping to launch in beta stage next month.
“This product will work via VPN and offer larger caps for less,” said Wright.
Openweb has grown its ADSL subscriber base to more than 3000 users, and they expect this number to increase substantially with the launch of their new product range.
Openweb is mostly known for reselling Internet Solutions based ADSL accounts, but Wright said that they are also looking at bringing more choice to consumers.
“We are currently in negotiations to launch our SAIX range of accounts at extremely competitive prices,” he points out.
Their most popular product however remains their low-cost 10 GB account. “Currently our best selling product is the 1GB + 9GB local that we sell for only R89. This product has seen a 200% increase in sales in the last month. We believe this is due to a R10 reduction in monthly rental implemented on 1 July,” Wright points out.
