Faritec Appoints New CEO

Chris Jardine, who has been guiding Faritec’s turnaround strategy and corporate restructuring over the past few months, will return to his role as the Non-executive Chairman of the Board.

Van Rensburg joins Faritec from Shoden Data Systems where he has held the position of Managing Director for the past nine years.   Van Rensburg brings 35 years of experience in the IT industry to Faritec, having previously worked at ICL and Persetel, before leaving to co-found Shoden in 2000.

“It has been a pleasure working with the Faritec management team on the turnaround strategy and now with the appointment of Fanie van Rensburg as CEO and Arvind Gupta as CFO,  we are pleased that the leadership team is complete and back to full strength.  We are confident that under Fanie’s leadership, Faritec will be able to grow off its re-established base,” says Jardine.

Van Rensburg will resign all his responsibilities with Shoden before joining Faritec in August in order to ensure the independence of the two groups.

“Although Shoden is now Faritec’s majority shareholder, it has always been our intention to keep the companies independent of each other,” says van Rensburg. “I look forward to working with the Faritec team and building on their efforts to take the Faritec business and its established and respected brand into a brighter future.”
