Vodacom network problems
Numerous Vodacom contract subscribers had trouble receiving calls on Tuesday. The problems seem to have affected subscribers country wide, with numbers in various locations, including Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town, being inaccessible.
The problem only appears to have influenced incoming calls, with affected Vodacom subscribers still able to make calls on the network and send and receive SMSs.
Vodacom has confirmed that they were experiencing sporadic problems for around an hour on Tuesday afternoon, but the network is up and running again and they are not aware of any further issues.
Specific details about the problem are not yet known, but Vodacom promised that this will be communicated as soon as more details emerge.
