MTN ‘free GB’ offer ends
The MTN offer – which applied to their Extended Data 1 GB contract – gave subscribers an additional 1 GB of data Free for the entire duration of the 24 month contract. The offer ran between 18 February and 18 June this year.
This means that a 1 GB data bundle from MTN is back to the original price of R 399-00 per month, far higher than Vodacom’s R 289-00 per GB.
MTN however said that they are currently evaluating their permanent pricing in light of the significant uptake that they had on the offer.
